Day 100 – Relay for Life

I participated in Relay For Life three years ago as a freshman. This evening, I visited the Corec to meet up with my friends participating in it this year. Wow... has it grown!

Relay For Life is a national movement by the American Cancer Society. For 12 hours, participants walk around a circular track with many events occurring along the edges. These events are mini-fundraisers for the event. Tickets are exchanged for donations, and donations are used as the form of currency for these mini-fundraisers. These include snacks, riding the Boilermaker Special, banging the world's largest drum, throwing someone into a "jail", and many more. Their goal is to raise $130,000 by 6:00am.
